The star of “The Sopranos” and “Breaking Bad” tweeted about a tweet he received that suggested the planets align with his astrology.
“I got a message yesterday from someone who said that I’m on the side of Aries.
I didn’t know what to think.
I was like, ‘I think this is the sign of a true believer,’ ” Astin told MTV News on Wednesday.
He said he immediately went to his “Star Wars” timeline, and it was revealed that he was on the same side of the planet as George Lucas, the creator of the Star Wars franchise.
He said his Twitter feed was flooded with messages saying he was in favor of “Star Trek,” “The Simpsons” and many other sci-fi shows.
Astin’s comments were in response to a tweet sent out on Saturday by an astrologer in Texas.
The tweet said “Star War” star Anthony Daniels was “Aris.”
The tweet was retweeted more than 1,000 times and shared on other social media sites, and Astin has since taken to Twitter to apologize.
Astin said he also received messages from people who said they were on the “side of Leo,” and he said he was “confused” about what was being said about him.
He wrote: “I am not on the opposite side of a star, but I do know what I see and hear when I look in the sky.
I know that Aries is on the horizon.”
The astrologers’ tweets have been shared more than 2 million times and Astins has been retweeted over 3 million times.
